Land O’Lakes CEO Featured in Co-op Magazine

The July-August issue of Rural Cooperatives magazine features commentary from Land O’Lakes President and CEO Chris Policinski. Policinski’s commentary is based on his February speech at the 2009 USDA Agriculture Outlook Forum.

In the article, Policinski declares how imperative it is for U.S. farmers to continue to increase their productivity. He says this increase will be the only way the world can provide food for an ever-expanding worldwide population.

Policinski is passionate about the subject of increasing ag productivity and has spoken several times to various audiences about the topics. He says Land O’Lakes, as a producer-owned cooperative, has worked to create this kind of opportunity for farmers since the company was formed in 1921. In addition, the company also has a unique perspective on world hunger issues because of its International Development Division, which administers development and feeding programs around the world.
