Monsanto Sets Ambitious Corn and Soybean Planting Targets

Monsanto says it has a growth target of an additional 10 million acres planting with Monsanto corn and soybean seeds in 2012. The company believes between 22 million and 24 million acres of reduced refuge corn will be planted in the 2012 season, up 57 percent on the previous year. Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybeans are expected to planted in 27 million to 30 million acres, up 68 percent on 2011.
